What are Swapshades made from?

Swapshades are made of cotton duck cloth, polished cotton and a cotton blend.

What designs do you offer?

We offer many designs that compliment many decor styles. As we grow and expand, we hope to offer a wide array of patterns for young and old.

Are they compatible with my current lampshades?

Guess what? Lampshades are not all created equal. Through this 2 year process of trial and error, we purchased and measured many shades from different manufacturers. None were true to size. Wanting to give our customers the best experience possible, we decided to partner with a top quality lamp maker to give you the best quality on the market and a true fit every time!

What sizes and fits do you offer?

Buying a shade combo from Creative Lamp Revamp you know every time your cover will fit. At the moment we offer 2 sizes which fit most small to medium lamp bases. These are Empire shades that fit on your socket.

How do I install my new lampshade?

The best way to secure the cover and remove it is to grasp the round ring of the empire shade with one hand. Gently ease on the cover making sure to turn your shade so it is evenly distributed. Swaphades are made to fit each of our shades.

How do I take care of my lampshade?

We suggest lightly brushing the cover with a small stiff brush. If something has been spilled a spot cleaning is acceptable. The trim is very delicate on most designs. Be careful not to destroy it.

Safety Concerns and common guidelines?

Cotton is a natural fabric and will catch fire if exposed to an open flame. However, it does not melt like synthetic fabric. It can degrade when coming into contact with high temperature. Do not exceed the recommended wattage of the lamp. LED bulbs emit less heat making them a safer choice. Make sure there is proper ventilation around the bulb to prevent heat buildup. Typically for table lamps and floor lamps a maximum of 60 watts for an incandescent bulb is recommended. A 10 watt LED bulb is equal to a 60 watt incandescent bulb in terms of light.
